Secret Paris Photos_2017

Photo: Paris 2017

One cold Paris day, Larry went in search of a

small stamp store he heard about.

I chose to sit quietly, read a magazine

and

take a few photos.

The photos below were from our walk home….

Photo: Tourists at Le Louvre

This is a popular pose at the Louvre….kind of silly…

Do you see Larry?

He is to the right in an overcoat.

I wonder what he took a picture of?

There should a law against people over 50 years old taking selfies.

{we were laughing so hard}

When we got back to the apartment, we had a cheese plate and this wine.

{and watched France’s version of Big Brother on TV}

MY Moments

Yesterday, I had company before going

to the hospital for a test.

The Cottage was filled with positive

sounds and love.

{Larry was in his office,

and Matilda kept going back and whispering:

Are you soon done Pa?}

We cooked, played chess, knitted

and smiled.

Larry on lunch hour, went to Country Burger

and got us burgers.

Matilda set the table

and made place cards.

She decorated the table with toys. {my Little pony’s}

Aren’t some moments totally amazing?

Honest. true and personal.

These are MY moments.

Love you.

Organic Moments At The Sea

Larry and I are home from Florida.

It was beautiful and  I needed the sea.

{this weeks song is based on my trip}

Organic moments in the water were as  refreshing as a massage.

My Larry’s company hosted a costumer event

and

I tagged along.

We rented cabana #14.

I loved cabana time.

When Larry went to the elevator, I could see him from our room.

{on a rainy afternoon at the beach. I stayed in the room and read}

I splurged on my diet.

Sunset views from our room were  perfection.

Abstract days at the beach allow you to come home refreshed and happy.

Now, onward to HALLOWEEN!

BOOOOOOO!

Love you.

Me.

Autographs And Aging

We have been blessed by having many friends join us

this summer for brunches and dinners.

During the process of visiting and eating,

guests autograph the tablecloth.

Yes, yes, I know that it has been posted about before

but….

Larry and I were talking….

If anything should happen to us,

would our daughters or anyone, even care about this piece of ART?

So many hours stitching names and dates…..

It sucks getting old.

Age makes me think about things like this.

Love you beyond my signature.

Chicken Tacos Perfection~ Chef Valentine

Chef Valentine’s Chicken Tacos Perfection

INGREDIENTS

1 Tablespoon olive oil

1 rotisserie chicken shredded {about ½ pound}

½ packet {or entire packet if you like} Old El Paso taco seasoning

½ onion, diced

1 {14 oz} can diced tomato {important-well drained}

1 {4 oz} can Old El Paso chopped green chilies

12 Old El Paso crunchy taco shells

1 can Ortega can refried beans

2 cups Mexican blend shredded cheese

***

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Heat olive oil in medium skillet.

Add onion and cook for 5 min.

To onions, add chicken, taco seasoning, tomatoes and chilies.

Stir well and cook on low-med for about 10 min.

Line 13 X 9” baking dish with foil. {do not spray with pam}

{the foil keeps your tacos crisp while baking}

Place taco shells in baking dish, standing up.

Spoon 1 Tablespoon beans into the bottom of each shell.

Then top with the chicken mixture.

Top with all of the cheese.

Bake for 12-15 min till shells are browned and cheese melted.

Remove from oven.

Add your favorite taco toppings.

We like sour cream, salsa and Jalapeños

We paired this with red wine. AND IT WAS WONDERFUL

Salsa, chips and a salad.

This my favorite new recipe.

I predict that is will be a favorite old recipe soon.

Please enjoy.

Till next time,

Valentine

What A Weekend

On Saturday, we watched Matilda play soccer

and

visited friends at the Gunter, Texas School carnival.

Then….Sunday was wonderful, happy and sad.

the sky looked like Autumn.

We went to the Dallas FT Worth Pug Rescue

Pug-O-Ween celebration.

{this is where we would bring LIbby each year in costume}

Lauren, Josh and Matilda  were there

and

so were Dima, Levi, Ayah and Salma.

We had fun watching all of the PUGS in costume.

Larry and I  came home, and enjoyed Sunday Dinner and Movie.

We had chicken tacos {recipe tomorrow} Salsa, and watched BEGUILED.

That CRAZY movie. I kept thinking that it was boring, then things heated up.

CRAZY.

Then…. I had a reflexology appointment with Larry

and then off to bed.

I had started the weekend arguing with someone dear to me.

It weighed heavy on my heart the entire weekend.

Don’t you hate that?

Have a lovely day.

I love you beyond the beautiful autumn sky.
