Dear Jimmy Kimmel

Before I start my “rant”, please know that there is an update on the auction item page.

Link:  Auction Quilt Update

I have had an interesting week.

A medical diagnosis has once again changed my life.

{I will share later}

And…the poor students in Florida.

My heart is broken for the families and friends.

Life was once again cut short by insane, selfish behavior.

What kind of person needs an assault weapon?

Just explain to me, why?

Dear Jimmy Kimmel,

I am the middle of three daughters.

While growing up, I always wished for a brother.

Just like you.

You have a passion for what is RIGHT that takes our breath away.

You have the platform to bring “wrong” right up front and slap it around a bit.

Forget Oprah for President…My vote is for you.

I often wonder as a citizen, I am being heard….

until your monologue. You are speaking for so many of us.

Your spirit makes me happy and yes, NOW IS THE TIME FOR GUN CONTROL!

Bless you.

Robin

In case you missed Jimmy’s monologue….it is below.

***

I am not often a “fan” of anyone…….but I do wish I had a brother.

Love you.

Me

Sorry Wolfgang Puck

It was an awesome weekend.

Even though Larry was diagnosed with an

upper respiratory infection and bronchitis,

he started his medicine and rested.

Larry and I have a Oscar Dinner each year.

We see all of the nominated movies,

then plan a dinner around the red carpet and awards.

We really don’t care who wins,it is our excuse to go to the movies.

LOTS of  movies.

It was such a nice evening…

and we watched every moment.

The commercials were wonderful

and

Jimmy Kimmel was spectacular.

{I wish he were my brother IF I had a brother}

The movies that I liked this year,

must have to do with my frame of mind.

That is ok…….

it was a wonderful evening.

I am proud for all of the talented actors who saw their hard work

come together in one amazing project to be nominated.

Dinner: {sorry Wolfgang Puck, ours was more delish}

Steak, potatoes, veggies and cheese puffs.

Larry chose the menu and wine.

The wine was an old bottle  that he had been babying.

It was perfect.

And dessert…..oh my, dessert.

Larry asked for a 1/8th sheet cake from Kroger.

{The birthday kind of cake}

It is our dirty little splurge and we did.

Splurge that is.

In honor of OSCAR

Congratulations to all of the awesome winners.

ART in any form is inspirational….

May we  appreciate the greatness in others

instead of criticizing and demeaning them

We are so blessed…..

AND I ate Kroger Cake last night!

Love you.
