Pugcasso Says Happy Halloween

I have always loved Halloween. It was that one holiday where I could become someone different than who I was in reality.

When my sweet Libby pug was alive, I made costumes for her. She would pose, I would photograph her and both enjoyed the process. You might see her photos other places. Some of the photos are leased and many people have stolen them, BUT I own the copyrights.

Pugcasso has always been one of my favorite costumes that Libby wore. When Libby was alive, we would attend the annual Pug-O-Ween for the Dallas Ft Worth Pug Rescue and would compete in the costume contest. It was a wonderful event and they still have it each year. I miss Libby so much, it makes me sad to attend to Pug-O-Ween.

BUT……Larry and I have a few plans for this weekend….it should be very interesting!

Larry and I wish you a happy Halloween weekend. Please stay safe and enjoy the special moments of the holiday.

Love you beyond the moon.

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween! I have always loved Halloween. It marks the beginning of Autumn for me and it is a time of whimsy and joyful moments As the middle of three daughters, I wore many hand me down costumes and even now, looking back as an adult I did not care. It was always so much fun.

In 2005, Larry was very busy with his work. Opening up the North Texas district was his job and starting an op-co for his company was always a number one goal.

I was also busy, teaching ART classes for the city and creating ART was my joy.

The first of October, 2005, I stared a new project. A costume for my pug dog and then, Libby became Pink Unicorn Pug. On October 13, 2005, I had a photo shoot with her at the local greenhouse and now, fifteen years later, Libby in that costume still makes me smile. The photo went viral as there are 1 .5 million hits on her pink unicorn video and the greeting cards using the photo are still being sold, even though my contract with the card company has run out.

Pink Unicorn Pug is my all time favorite costume. Libby loved it too. (Libby passed away in 2017)

I do not dress for Halloween any longer but I adore being part of celebrations, parties and Tricks and Treats.

Have a happy Halloween. Be safe and know that the spirit of The Pink Unicorn Pug is smiling on us all…..

Love you beyond the moon and stars.

Red Wellie Boots

Larry and I visited this painting last weekend. The cat was enchanting. We were mesmerized. Isn’t it amazing how a painting can touch us? What touches you?

I learned last night that a dear friend, her husband and two sweet dogs evacuated their home in CA. Fire was very near and they did the very wise thing by packing and leaving. Please dear reader, join me in sending calming thoughts, prayers and love to all California residents, first responders and anyone who might be in harms way.

I dressed this morning in my Halloween costume. Each year I wear my costume all day. Perhaps I am to old to do that but in some crazy way, it inspires me.

Have a good day. Happy Halloween.

Love you beyond my red Wellington boots.

Impossible To Forget

Photo: At the dining room table

It rained during the night and I did not sleep. I read the book on my Kindle and bought a new novel for when I finish the current book. The sun is out now. The dining room is a-glare with sun coming through the windows.

Photo: The odd dress

This past weekend, I had to go to the fabric shop. I accidently found this odd pattern. It is so odd, that I love it. The black fabric has gold, raised dots. I love that too. I will make the dress in all of the same fabric and with sleeves. It will be perfect for traveling. {imagine France, the dress, and with black tights and ballet flats. Perfection}

Photo: The beginning of my Halloween costume

The reason I went to the fabric store was to buy a pattern for my Halloween costume. Above is the pattern for my costume. Can you tell by that, what I will be dessed as?
