Recovery

Here is a little story. Since the summer of 2019, I have not been well. It was then, I dealt with breast cancer (#2) and a tree through our roof.(Of course the tree was not medical, but what an experience!) After that, coronavirus struck us all in one way or another. For one and three quarter years, I have felt like I was on the outside looking in.

Granted, I have dealt with this disease since 2012. It always seems to surprise me when it makes itself known.

It is called Hyperparathyroid disease. We all have 4 parathyroid glands in our body. Mine get little tumors on them and malfunction making me very ill. (kidney stones have been one of the worst symptoms along with chronic fatigue) Information ink is below:

https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/hyperparathyroidism/symptoms-causes/syc-20356194#:~:text=Hyperparathyroidism%20is%20when%20your%20parathyroid,of%20a%20grain%20of%20rice.

This January, I went to our GP, for an unrelated problem. It was then after blood panels were done, that we discovered that my Hyperparathyroism had returned. YAY. One of my remaining 3 parathyroid glands had a tumor in it. I had almost all the symptoms making each day a mouse trap to get through. With my history, both my Dr’s acted fast, I saw my Surgeon only two weeks ago and yesterday was surgery. Dr B removed my lower left parathyroid and explored the area where he had operated before. Surgery was only a couple of hours and I was home last night sleeping in my own bed.

Larry is awesome and always takes such good care of me. So many good friends have stayed close, with calls and prayers over the past months (through these awful symptoms). This week especially has been a sweet reminder of how many wonderful good, friends I have. I want to thank you all, even those of you who did not even know that anything was wrong and checked on me anyway. You are amazing and I will never be able to repay you.

I have a deep scar at the base of my neck, my voice is reduced to a sexy rasp and my pain level is at a ONE!

I came to the studio and the work desk, to post on blog. I hope that it makes sense….I just wanted my prayer warriors to know that I love them and appreciate them all. I am on the way to……..

I am going back to bed, (and rest because my favorite MATILDA (granddaughter) is coming to visit tomorrow..)

Love you beyond the moon.

I saw Jami on Monday and meant to ask about you, as you’ve been out for longer than ‘normal’. I’m sorry I forgot to ask if everything was okay. You have been in my thoughts. I’ll add you to my prayers as well.
