For many years, Larry and I go to see each movie nominated for an Academy Award. On award night, we plan a special meal and celebrate the creative ART that we know as cinema.
Last night was no exception. I did have a favorite movie (Belfast) but I liked so many of the movies that were nominated.
At Oscar time one of my favorite thing is, to hear other people share what movie that liked and why. It always gives me a wonderful new perspective and maybe I missed something that someone can remind me about.
Last night, for dinner, we had filets, loaded baked potatoes and green beans.
Our wine was a St Emilion. I am sorry that I did not get a picture.
I created an appetizer for Oscar night..
They were delicious but we could not eat them all.
Larry and I enjoyed almost the entire Academy Awards show. But…there was that one part where Will Smith (I am not a fan of his on a regular day) hit comedian Chris Rock out of anger.
My question is, if Will Smith could hit a man out of anger while millions of people were watching…what do you think he is capable of in private?
I was raised with this kind of abuse and often thought that violence was normal. It is NOT normal…
Please remember to take deep breaths today…and kindness is the perfect mantra.
Love you beyond the moon. Me
