This morning, I will share a short story. Something happened to me last Monday, around noon. Larry has been working like crazy this week and we decided to walk laps at the lake on his lunch hour. The day was spectacular and we both needed out of the house.
We were on our last lap. Chatting away about my day and Larry’s Zoom meetings. The park was not busy, but people were there with babies, dogs and others walking like Larry and I were. We had half a lap to go to finish the days constitutional……..and it happened.
There were two women, a baby and a dog. We were getting ready to pass them and I said hello. It was then, the dog went after me. He had a leash on but he was to strong (He was a Pit Bull) for the woman holding it. On the first time lunge, he got me. He bit me on my right thigh. He came after me two more times but Larry blocked him. It was scary.
I don’t need to tell you the rest. The women were so sweet and sorry. There were a lot of tears and I limped the rest of the way around my beloved lake. I had never been bitten by a dog before. Stitches were not needed, the wound is 2″ …. in fact the dog did not even tear the fabric on my yoga pants but he got me good through the fabric. I will add the photos of the bite after the lake photo below. This is your warning. If you do not want to see the wound, please close out the blog now. (PS: Love you)
Yesterday, when I walked my miles….I carried a walking stick. I do not know if that will help, but it made me feel better.
Love you beyond the moon.
