What Matters!

Photo: The Pot~London 2019

I have the insane habit of looking up. All the time! Do you think that it is because I am 5′ 9 1/2″ tall?

Because I look up so much, I bump into things, trip very often and though embarrassed, I do not fall often.

A good friend once told me that looking up is such a positive thing. To be honest, I had never considered that before.

The photo above is proof that I look up to much and after I took the shot, I thought, I need to take more photos at eye level. This is the next shot I took………

The Mad Hatter allows you to take his photo for the right price.

Life imitates ART OR ART imitates life? Look up or view from eye level?

No matter how you look at things, all that matters is that you are happy.

I wish you {you know who you are} the happiest day that you can imagine.

There are Times

It is a beautiful Friday Morning in Texas.

Bill Withers is  singing Lean on Me

on my favorite radio station {from Dublin, IE}

***

Last night, Larry and I drove 1 1/2 hours to meet

fiends for dinner in Lindale Texas.

We had the best time, laughing and visiting.

Three weeks ago, we were in London.

We stayed on a mews,

that had been renovated into flats.

We loved our flat in the mews.

We had a picnic in front of our flat  one evening

{plus a chess game}

and it was awesome.

Shall I apologize for feeling nostalgic?

There are times,

when I realize that a special moment  has sped by to fast.

Honoring a special moment is like engraving it into your heart…

Yes, and Larry won the chess game at our London picnic.

Happy weekend.

Love you more  than candy.

High Tea

One week ago,

Larry and I were in London at Kensington Palace, having tea.

It was a lovely way to celebrate this time of our lives.

I would like to thank everyone who has taken the time

to support me and my journey.

Last week during tea,

we toasted EVERYONE.

Including you.

Beautiful, beautiful life…..

Love you more than candy.

London~Day One

It is good to be home.

Maybe.

We had  a good trip,

the reality of coming home is overwhelming.

It was London…what can I say?

Five years ago, while waiting to have breast cancer surgery

Larry asked what could we do to focus on

and

make the 5 year recovery go faster?

I told him that I would like to go to London

and have tea.

That is exactly what we did this past week.

Over the years, we invited friends and family to join us

but

you know how busy everyone is….

We arrived at our sweet flat early….cleaned ourselves up ,

and headed to the British Museum

where we had tickets for an important exhibit.

The Hokusai exhibit!

It was a beautiful day outside,

the museum was crazy busy and wonderful.

I was struck at the beauty of the building…

and how kind everyone was.

***

We had lunch in  the museum restaurant….

Dessert in the mezzanine

and while waiting in the que….

a man and teenager breezed by us to the members que….

It was Liam Neeson!

The moment went fast, but it was  kind of neat.

I was tired.

And we headed back to our flat.

{located on a Mews}

Day one….I was a tired mess

but very happy..and Larry kept hugging me.

Life is really wonderful.

I love you more than candy.

What is Happening To The Blog?

Larry is outside mowing the lawn.

I hear the hummmm of the mower

and

I automatically come to the computer to play with  the blog.

I just cannot get it exactly like I wish it to be.

So, I chose a photo that I took in London years ago.

I love London…..

and I love it on my website, for awhile at least.

Here is the original shot.

Love you.
