Remembering Roberta

Last week, Larry and I said goodbye to an old friend.

Roberta was a wonderful part our lives for over 30 years.

We met Roberta at church when we joined the

First Presbyterian Church of Plano.

I taught Sunday School and Larry was an elder.

Roberta was part of these committees

and welcomed us with a huge heart.

She loved her children, Arts and Crafts and trashy novels.

I loved how strong she was…

and once her mind was made up about something

that was the end of discussion.

I will remember teaching Presbyterian Women how to

quilt and knit….

{I taught these classes for the city of Plano

and Roberta though it would be great

if I taught them to the women of our church}

She never finished her knit or quilt projects.

The visiting,  sharing an example of faith and fellowship

were her favorite part of the classes.

She was a member of Friends Book Club.

{she was the one who invited me to join}

We will be meeting Tomorrow

and

Roberta will be in our thoughts and prayers…

and she will be missed.

Rest well dear friend.

Love you.
